Mapping workgroup held a meeting

The workgroup for mapping held their third meeting in the premises of the Republic administration for geodetic and property affairs in Banja Luka on the 22. and 23.08.2012.

 

At this meeting the Records from the first and second meeting were adopted, the recommendations of the IMO mission were considered and priorities for the pilot census of citizens, households and apartments were defined. The meeting was attended by representatives of the geodetic administrations of both entities, Institutes of statistics of both entities, a representative of the Ministry of Civil Affairs of BiH, Agency for statistics of BiH, Department of the Public Registry of Brcko District, as well as representatives of the EUPHC 2 project.

 

At this meeting the recommendations of the IMO mission were considered, based on which certain decisions and suggestions were made towards the implementation of the recommendations relating to the pilot census, in what way to test the entire organization of the pilot census including the role of commissions, maps, training materials, post census surveys and data processing. In the selection of census areas for the pilot census of citizens, households and apartments in BiH, both urban and rural areas, as well as areas that contain the border between entities should be considered.

 

Participants of the meeting agreed to actively work on the preparation of the cartographic foundation that is needed for the realization of activities related to the pilot census and that it should be ready by the deadline defined for the 27. September 2012.
